Powered Industrial Truck (Forklift) Training

Powered Industrial Truck
(Forklift) Training

Worker Safety Net offers both classroom and hands-on qualification training.

OSHA's Powered Industrial Truck (Forklift) Standard, 1910.178, requires forklift training for anyone who operates a powered industrial truck, including a lift truck. This course encourages participants to take an active role by observing, analyzing and discussing recommended forklift safety practices. Employers must document operators have been trained and evaluated every 3 years. Worker Safety Net recommends operators receive classroom retraining annually to maintain proficiency.

All training is held in English only. Students must be able to read, write and converse in English.
Travel and other fees may apply.

Forklift Classroom and Hands-On Training

$100/student ($90/Classroom only student)

Worker Safety Net provides forklift classroom training, and a forklift skills assessment on-site at your place of employment in a single session. This training is for many types and models of forklifts and lift trucks.

  • Hands-on training on one piece of equipment followed by a check ride will satisfy initial training. Students or companies will be awarded a document of completion. The employer must continue to provide practical training on individual equipment models to fully comply with the OSHA standard. Employers must document operators have been trained and evaluated every 3 years.
